I just posted a couple hours ago but I thought I would just point out that it is currently 8:04 am and I have yet to go to sleep. I always thought it was kind of funny that some people just cannot seem to pull an all nighter, even at a slumber party because I can stay up all night no problem!
I turn into a full out insomniac when I come home and I think it's because either:
1. I have black out shades in my room so it is for the most part always pitch black.
2. I don't have anything to do during the days, so I might as well sleep them away.
or 3. This darn computer and stinking cat and baby sloth videos on youtube.
I really need a life.
Also, on this date in 1422, Henry VI became king at the ripe old age of nine months. I would have liked to see how that worked out for them British folk... AND THEN... two months later (at 11 months of age) he also became the king of France. I can only imagine the good times they must of had when their king couldn't even walk let alone rule two freakin' countries!
Now I really need a life if I am giving history lessons at this time in the morning.
Goodnight to you all, have a sun-shiny day while I sleep :)

Oh. My. Gosh.
So I have a youtube account that I have posted five videos up on of random EFY things, a girl's camp video and improv show at BYU-I on but the most hilarious video was a music video of Pat Benetar's "Love is a Battlefield" that we (me, Melanie, Bryanna and Tycy) did winter semester freshman year. The music never went through because of copyright stuff but just now I just clicked on it to watch sans sound but to my surprise... IT WORKED. I died of embarrassment just watching it alone! It is sad, hilarious, strange and amazing all at the same time. It's crazy to think how we have changed in just over two years. I mean... everyone (but me of course) is married and Tycy even has a baby! It's fun to look back on old times so enjoy this epic but still excruciatingly humiliating video posted just for you.
Oh. My. Gosh.
PS... Some things to note: I like literally almost fall three times in this video, Bryanna creepily licks her lips in a close up, Melanie CANNOT do the choreographed dancing which was the most hilarious part, Melanie creepily caresses my arm and if you look I laugh aaaand again Melanie doesn't know the lyrics, haha! Just the whole video is one awkward, embarrassing moment...You better love it.

August Favorites!
In the beauty community of YouTube every month, people post videos of their favorite products that they have found or have been using a lot. Annnnd I want in on the trend, so here are my favorites for this month!
#1 Maybelline Cream Eyeliner:
I have been wanting a cream/gel eyeliner for MONTHS but I never wanted to dish out the money! I was eyeing the Bobbi Brown one that is $21... then I went on a nationwide (literally) search for the wet n' wild's gel eyeliner that is only $4.50 and I could not find it in Idaho, Utah or Massachusetts! I gave up and got the one in the middle. This cream eyeliner costs $10 and I actually really like it! It doesn't budge when it sets, I love the smooth consistency and it is very black. The brush it comes with is pretty nice, too. It's a good size but the only thing is it is impossible to get a thin line with it and it's a little hard to make pointed wings. I can't wait to find my angled brush in all of my crap in Idaho! But this leads me to my next favorite....
#2 Winged Eyeliner
Not my eye (if you were wondering) but I loveeeeeee winged eyeliner. I just think it's simple but cute and girly and I just love it. I'm trying my best to be able to pull it off! It's a really fun look and is actually a lot harder to do than it looks. Now, what I love with winged eyeliner is a bright red lip. Too bad that is way too much for an everyday (or anyday) look or I would wear it everyday. To sum it up, I am obsessed with 50's-60's vintage, slightly pin-up stuff.
#3 got2b Rockin' It Dry Shampoo
If you have oily hair, this is the product for you! I have been trying to not wash my hair everyday because it's really bad for your hair but I have wicked oily hair! In high school I would use baby powder which would work but then you would smell like powder all day. Then last year I got the Tresemme dry shampoo which I hated! It made my hair one big clump of oily junk more like a tub of vaseline than anything. But I got this one with high hopes and it totally rocks! It smells so good, it actually works and leaved my hair literally feeling like I just washed it! It is so great and only like $5!
#4 J.R. Watkin's Mango Lotion
My new holy grail, will never find a better, amazing lotion! When I was a junior in high school I went to a flea market on Cape Cod and got a coconut mango lotion made by some lady... yeah... when I ran out I thought I was going to die because I would never find it again! I was in Whole Foods and just roaming the beauty aisle and I FOUND IT. This smells identical to the one I had before, same thick, beautiful, non-greasy cream and I love it.
#5 Benefit's Confessions of a Concealaholic
I broke down and bought another Benefit product, but I thought this was a great buy. This concealer palette comes with a primer (that smells like a lollipop), two basic cream concealers, erase paste (which is a gel-like, salmon colored concealer for under eye dark circles), eye bright (which brightens the eyes) and lemon-aid (which counteracts redness or other discoloration) for $36. Not bad seeing as you use hardly any product to get the job done! I love that it is all in one and Benefit's products always make doing your make up fun :)
#6 Maybelline Falsies Mascara
This is my favorite mascara because even though I naturally have long, curled eyelashes, I like a product that can really show it off! This is the perfect combination of volume and length in a mascara and the formulation of it is great. And I like the brush. I like everything about it except it kinda flakes throughout the day, I should try the waterproof one. I have had at least two people ask me this month if I was wearing false eyelashes and I credit this product for that!
#7 Big Sexy Hair Spray and Play Harder Hairspray
I have coveted this hairspray for quite some time because the full can is about $18 and I just can't justify spending that much on a hairspray. But at Ulta in Utah they had a trial size (that was pretty big) for $8 so I snatched it so fast. What makes this hairspray the greatest hairspray in the universe (literally) is that is volumizes like craaaazy. I use this hairspray either to set my teasing and it gives it an extra oopmh or after I curl my hair. It's like my hair magically doubles in thickness when I use it and for my fine goldilocks it's a dream come true. I. love. it. And I have no idea what I am going to do when I run out of this little can of heaven.
#7 Fresh Pineapple
Every time I go to the grocery store with my parents I sneak in one of those pre-sliced containers of fresh pineapple. I love it! It is so delicious and I think it might be the only thing I'm going to eat this coming semester. I just hope it's one of those health-benefiting fruits and I'll actually get something good out of it. I'll start a new trend... Pineapple is definitely the new grapefruit.
#8 Sally Hansen's Hard as Nails, Xtreme Wear in Mint Sorbet
If you know me at all you know this is my favorite color. I am OBSESSSSEEEEDDDDDD. When I got this I thought it wouldn't be the right color but two coats of this baby and it's like being in vintage, floral heaven! The only thing is that this is also the color of my sunglasses... so I think people think I'm weird when I have both on. I swear I don't purposely match everything I wear, I just can't get enough of this color.
#9 Target Teal "Ray Ban" Sunglasses
Well, I was talking about them so I thought I should include them since I wear them every single time I am outside... It would be sweet if I had 155 bucks to spare and had real Ray Ban Wayfarer sunglasses, but my $12 ones from target are awesome! Of course I couldn't find my sunglasses online but these are pretty close. The true color of mine are a little lighter and a more faded teal color. However, the only thing I hate about my Target ones is that the top paint layer on them totally has been peeling since I got them and the color under it is more true to this picture so part of it looks darker than the rest. Oh well, I still love them anyways.
Well, I can't think of a tenth product... I kinda just did this as I went along and it's late (or is it early...?) and I should be sleeping, haha. I hope you enjoyed my first monthly favorites!
Oh, and Happy Birthday to Cameron Diaz!!! Is she like 40 or something? I don't know... :D

My mom loves me.
I love Lush. I have loved Lush ever since the day I walked into the shop on Graffton Street in Dublin, Ireland and bought Flying Fox shower gel. Like literal love at first sight! If you don't know what Lush is it is a handmade cosmetics (but really just bath/shower products and skincare stuff) shop full of natural, creative and delicious smelling things of wonder! And did I mention I'm obsessed??
While home for barely four weeks I have been to three different Lush shops four different times.
Obsessed.
But in my defense, they don't have a Lush in Utah let alone Idaho. So when I'm home I try to stock up and usually I only get things like cool bubble bars (like bars of soap that when you stick in the tub they makes billions of bubbles for the most delicious smelling, colored bath) or bath bombs (you know, those chalky balls that fizz in your bath) but this summer I have gone CRAZY. I have realized that I need to take better care of my skin. I've never had pizza face or anything so I just never really gotten in the habit of religiously washing my face or anything and when I say that it sounds really gross. Oh well, I'm a changed woman now. But anyways, I have gotten into Lush's skincare lines and products and boyyyy do they have a lot!
What I love about their stuff is:
1. They have all natural things in them like rosemary, ground almonds, seaweed even
2. They don't have any preservatives
3. They are just plain fun and not boring like cetaphil or some other white cream in a bottle from the drugstore
and finally and most importantly...
4. THEY WORK.
I have been using a few products that my face is loving! I'm so glad to have found stuff that works for my sensitive skin and that I like using since it is fun.
For those not interested here is what I'm using:
FRESH FARMACY: This cleanser is really good for acne prone, rosacea prone, irritated skin. Like a bar of soap you kinda just scrub your face with it and if you looked up "squeaky clean" in the cliche dictionary... this would be the image attached. When I rinse it off my face with water my face literally squeaks. I'm dead serious. But I like it!
HERBALISM: You love the look of this don't you? This green clay based cleanser is my face's best friend. It's packed with rosemary and ground almonds so it exfoliates whilst cleansing. Double trouble! But I really like this stuff even though it smells like putting a farm on my face. Or maybe a garden is more appropriate... that sounds less gross.
TEA TREE WATER: Now, you would think this is just water in a bottle but it is not! This little spritzer does a lot! Tea tree oil is really good for your skin and is an antibacterial so it fights acne while killing bacteria while freshening up your tired face! I have found it's also good at setting makeup! I use this every morning and night and sometimes during the day for a quick pick me up.
Now for the product you have all been waiting for and the reason my mom loves me.... drum roll pleeeaaassseeeee.....
VANISHING CREAM: This little tub of goodness (and yes, it is very little) was $40. Yikes. But it is worth it because it seriously makes my skin great. It is so light and packed with good zit fighting things that it just makes me smile thinking about it. And my mom bought the full size for me the other day and I am so in love with it! The good thing about it costing so much is that I will be using it sparingly which is already hard to do because you need so little of it to begin with and it should last me about 7-9 months :)
So there you have it... my Lush skincare favorites! Soon I will do a miscellaneous Lush favorites post because the shop is so great and I love love love so many things on it!
Thanks for reading!

UUUgghhhHAAARggghhaaahhhh
Not only have I gained 8 pounds since being home for August, but I cannot stop buying make-up and hair products.
You think I am kidding.
You shouldn't think I am kidding, because I am dead serious.
And I can't stop eating and I'm too lazy and tired to go run.
I need help.

Songs I've been loving...
If you know me, you know I absolutely live vicariously through songs. I listen to songs on repeat that are about my life and what I am going through/feeling at that time. And then in a week, my mood changes and I find new music. I think this is why I know so many songs... Anyways! Here is my current playlist! Enjoy.
#1 Bittersweet by Spencer Schmidt What else would you expect from Jon Schmidt's son other than wicked good music? This song is uplifting, catchy and yet smooth. His voice is like... really attractive. Really. Attractive. What I love most about this song is that I believe what he is singing as if he were singing it to me. Listen to the lyrics and you will get it, too. It is a song about moving on, being happy and letting someone love you for you! I love it and has really helped me to just be okay! PS: if you go to the actual youtube page for this music video, my comment is a top comment! And if you don't know youtube very well that probably makes no sense but basically my comment was "liked" by other people and is always the first comment you see on the page. I asked if he was an RM and if I could date him... I later found out that he just graduated high school... bummer for me :P
#2 Brighter Than the Sun by Colbie Callait I like this song so much better than fallin' for you. It is even catchier, happier and makes you smile ear to ear. Also, you cannot help but dance when it plays. I love how summery it is and the music video makes you want to plant a garden... on your bed. And it helps if it relates to you too... :)
#3 Tonight Tonight by Hot Chelle Rae Tonight we are going to party. And even though life sucks, it goes on. And I love the carefree attitude of this song and it is oh so blastable. I honestly cranked this up on the surround sound system around the pool at the Gilbert's house in July and I have never been happier.
#4 Who Says by Selena Gomez Shoot me now, I like a Disney star's song. But I literally get chills when I listen to it! I love the message as corny and dorky as that makes me.
#5 Goodnight Goodnight by Maroon 5 On a more somber note... Sometimes you wonder how someone could actually write what was in your head. It amazes me and is the reason I completely adore music in every way. This is one of those songs that just says it all. Literally. And as a side note: funny how also on this playlist is "tonight tonight" and the music video is slightly less PG but the concept just blows me away and helps the story and truthfulness of the song to me (even though it's a little more PG-13 than I would like, haha).
#6 How To Love by Lil Wayne (cover by Sam Tsui) I love this cover more than the original. Sam Tsui is such a good singer and I always enjoy his songs. I like this cool and coffee shop type but still powerful rendition.
#7 Sensitivity by Alex Goot The theme of this playlist is turning out to be songs about moving on and finding yourself... or something like that. And here is another one of those songs. One of my new sources for music is youtube. It's the new myspace and there are some really good artists out there! Alex Goot is one of them! But I like this upbeat song and it makes me happy. Also, Melanie if you are reading this... this kid is Brennan, no lie. Haha.
#8 All About Us by He is We I should make a whole entire playlist for this band. They are literally the best. I love their indie, charming, simple but epic sound! This song is adorable and great for times when you're just so happy about... a boy... or... something :)
#9 Moves Like Jagger by Maroon 5 This is just such a good pump it up song and you have to sing along! I don't know how I feel about Christina Aguilera in it but the bass is sweet though! I love this song when it comes on when I am driving! And even though I have a legitimate, hardcore, undeniable, serious celebrity crush on Adam Levine... he looks really weird/flamboyant in this music video. Lame.
#10 Shaytards Theme Song by NicePeter This is the most unconventional song on the planet but it literally gets stuck in my head everyday. Background: The Shaytard's are an LDS family on youtube and they post daily vlogs/videos about their life! And you wouldn't really think they are Mormon at first glance but they totally are and I'm obsessed with their videos! I think they are a great family and I love watching them. Anyways, their friend/fellow youtuber NicePeter (a musician who is also awesome) wrote the intro/jingle for the beginning of their videos. And I love it. Maybe you need to see the Shaytard's to get the song, so do that too! Watch them! They are funny (and extremely wild) and you will love it. And this intro song. The end.
Well there you have my top 10 songs of the moment. I had fun and I hope you did too!

Favorite Youtube Guru's!
So it is no secret (if you know anything about me) that I am obsessed with youtube. Specifically the beauty community on youtube. I am subscribed to so many people and learn about pretty much every make-up product/brand/thing you could ever think of!
There is a tag going around on youtube called the "what I love about you" tag where guru's talk about other guru's that they love. Since I don't make youtube videos I figured I could answer the tag questions and post them here! You can go check these people (yeah, not just girls!) out! I really have learned a lot about make-up and picked up a bunch of tips and tricks in the past year!
So let's get started:
There were a few other questions but I couldn't pick anyone for them! I am positive there will be future youtube favorites in the future, too. So go check these people out! I promise you will get sucked in as well and will watch countless tutorials, hauls and reviews as I have in the past!
Have a peachy day!

I really have learned a lot about make-up and picked up a bunch of tips and tricks in the past year!
So let's get started:
#1 Who has the best hair? dollybowbow
Kate has the hair I wish I had! It is this gorgeous honey blonde and the way she styles it with cute vintage bows and such is just so cute!
#2 Who has amazing style? NikkiPhilippi
This question was tough but I really like all the cute tops and stuff that Nikki wears and I think she is really pretty.
#3 Favorite guru from another country? FleurdeForce
Fleur is so cute and down to earth. I love her style and she is really relatable and fun to watch and her English accent is so nice to listen to!
#4 Who can you rely on? gossmakeupartist
So this guy, I forget his first name... but he tells it how it is! He is from England and most of his videos are reviews with a few tutorials thrown in. What I love about him is that he is blunt and will definitely tell you if a product is crap but when he does love something he gets really excited and shares his knowledge! I just really like him and he isn't as creepy as some other guys in the beauty community.
#5 Who has great confidence? emilynoel83
It may be because she is a news anchor but this girl has confidence! Her videos are clear and she doesn't feel like she has to use the most expensive products if she finds a cheaper one that's good as well.
I LOVE ARDEN. Even though she is only 16 she is my favorite, favorite guru! She is cute, fun, creative and I love watching her videos. I would want to hang out with her everyday if I knew her in person.
(I figured I would post a video right here, she's worth a video and not just a video :P)
(I figured I would post a video right here, she's worth a video and not just a video :P)
#7 Who is the most down to earth? pixi2woo
Tanya is just really sweet and nice and when she has someone else with her she really listens to what they have to say. She just seems well, down to earth!
#8 Who have you watched from the beginning? makeupgeekTV
Marlena was the first person I watched on youtube when I started searching for makeup tutorials. She is a professional makeup artist and knows pretty much everything there is to know about it! She knows so much and I love watching her she is really sweet. Also, she has lost 100 pounds over the time that I have watched her which is awesome!
#9 Who has the prettiest room? missglamorazzi
Ingrid has a really cute, put together room which would make sense since she is an interior design major, haha. I really like watching her tutorials and videos, Ingrid is really sweet.
#10 Who would you want to be your big sister? MakeupByTiffanyD
Tiffany is really cool and I think she would be such a fun big sister to go shopping with or swap clothes with. I just really like her and she is always herself on camera which is nice.
There were a few other questions but I couldn't pick anyone for them! I am positive there will be future youtube favorites in the future, too. So go check these people out! I promise you will get sucked in as well and will watch countless tutorials, hauls and reviews as I have in the past!
Have a peachy day!

How many blogs do I have to start??
So once again I am starting a new blog. But this one I think will be simple enough that I might actually post things! Maybe...
This is going to be simple lists of 3, 5, 10, 20 of things I love. They will each have a theme on whatever I want them to be. I have had a few things floating in my head, matching with things like them and this will give me a way to share them with those of you (though few and far between) that actually read about my life.
I realize I have exhausted all of my options on youtube, though I follow about 19380283 people on it. There is just not enough videos for me to watch anymore! And yes, you do not need to remind me of how utterly depressing that is. And without facebook to distract me... I am beginning to need some more things to do with my life!
So what better way to start of this blog then with a list! I actually don't have one in mind, so this will be the list of the top three things I can think of off the top of my head...
#1 Kittens
#2 Spoons
#3 Painful knots in my back that I can literally feel
There you go. The end. Goodbye and goodnight.
